WHEN SHOULD I USE 'NO JAVASCRIPT' EMBED CODE?
The Standard Embed code is designed to work on all browsers and platforms, including mobile devices. It is efficient to download and looks great at any dimension. It should always be the preferred option.
It does however use javaScript code, which some LMS or blogging sites do not allow. If your Sitepal character does not display when using the Standard embed code, select the 'No Javascript' Option.

How to Use Publish to Email

"Publish to Email" is designed to help you easily add your speaking SitePal avatar message to your html email template. You can use this feature with any popular email messaging platform - or when sending your own html emails.

SitePal cannot animate in the email itself (email clients do not support it). But you can include in your email a thumbnail image which, when clicked, opens a separate tab with your spoken message (we call this the "pickup page").

"Publish to Email" creates a short html code segment, which can be added to your html email to do just that.
Here's what you need to do:

  • Specify the dimensions of the thumbnail image that will be displayed in your email.
  • Decide whether you want a "message panel" in your pickup page. The message panel allow you to display your logo and a text message if you wish.
  • If you choose to display the message panel, you must provide either logo or message text or both.
  • Click on "Generate Code" and copy your embed code into your email template.

Playback Play On Load
If "Play On Load" is checked, the Scene is automatically played as soon as it is loaded. You may Selecting a limit anywhere from "Limit to 1" to "Limit to 5" means that the Scene will be played exactly that many times for each viewer within the time period specified. Selecting "Unlimited" means that the Scene will be played every time the page loads. For example: "Limit to 1 plays per website visitor per Week"
means that playback of this scene is limited to once a week per each visitor.
The playback limit is implemented independently for each page in which the Scene is deployed. Consequently, if this Scene is embedded in more than one page, there is an individual limit count for each one of these pages.
To prevent automatic playback of the audio within your Scene, uncheck "Play On Load." The viewer will still be able to click the 'Play' button to cause the Scene to play, or you may program the Scene to play by using the VHost API (for example, in response to the viewer's actions).
VHost Studio users: playback limit applies only to embedded Scenes, and does not affect Show playback behavior.
